Book Review- Jennifer Scales and the Ancient Furnace

From the back cover:

Jennifer Scales had taken health class. She knew that growing up meant that she would be changing. But she wasn't prepared for the blue scales or the claws, since no one had told her that she came from a secret bloodline of weredragons.

She soons finds out that, aside from hiding her identity from her best friends, her greatest challenge is protecting herself from her family's ancient enemies, who want to see the few dragons left alive destroyed. With only her grandfather to guider her through her transition, Jennifer must prepare herself for the fierce battles that will lie ahead. It's a lot to expect of someone her age-but Jennifer Scales has a destiny she can't deny...

This book is okay. I missed MJD's humor that was a fun element in her Undead series. But this book had lots of surprises and twists that left me wondering what was going to happen next.

I gave this book a rating of 3/5.

This book fulfills the items for the following challenges:
Paranormal 999 Challenge: Dragons (can also be used as were-animals)
