Book Review- The Accidental Human

I just finished reading The Accidental Human by Dakota Cassidy.

From the back cover:

Wanda's sales are up.

Wanda Schwartz is raking in the dough selling Bobbie-Sue Cosmetics--and she's a pro at recruiting new saleswomen. So, she's shocked when a man comes to one of her in-home parties--a very hot man. Heath Jefferson is sure to put some extra spin into a lot of women's color wheels.

Her life expectancy, not so much.

When Wanda is diagnosed with a terminal illness, it doesn't have to be a death sentence. With a werewolf and a vampire for best friends, she has options that most ordinary people wouldn't. As Wanda ponders what to do about her mortality, Heath reveals he has secrets, too, and one of them is that his bloodlust has turned into an old-fashioned lust--for Wanda. And he's already given up too much to lose the love of his lifetimes...

This is the third book in the Accidental Friends series by Dakota Cassidy.  It was just okay for me.  I found that a lot of the writing got annoying.  The spelling of "whatever" as "whatevah" and other slang items like that.

As for the plot, I thought it was cute.  Part of the ending was predictable, while another part of it wasn't, so I enjoyed it. I found Heath really cute--although I didn't understand why he and his "manservant" seemed so out of touch with today.  He was a vampire living in today's world, so while even though most of his materials good came from magic, he was still in the present,so I feel that he would have known about the normal materialistic good of present day.

Overall, a quick cute-but slightly-annoying paranormal read.

I gave this a rating of 3/5.
